Del Mar Village is about 20 miles north of San Diego along the Southern California coastline. This small beach town is famous for horse races, unique beaches, and upscale living. Its history dates back to the 1880s when Theodore Loop laid a train track in the middle of Del Mar. Mr. Loop was fascinated and bought 338.11 acres to build a resort town. Since then, it has grown into an upscale village with 20 shops, 25 restaurants, and cafes with sidewalks. Another iconic place is Del Mar Racetrack.
